Baptism

Baptism

When you choose to follow Jesus, you begin to understand and experience more of the love God has for you. Through His death on the cross and His resurrection, Jesus took all of your wrong and gave you all of His right. If you believe that and commit to following Him, your life will never be the same. It’s as simple as repenting of your sin, declaring you want to follow Jesus, and believing He is who He says He is.

Once you have decided to follow Jesus, being baptized is your next step. Baptism has been a Christian practice for over 2,000 years to publicly declare their faith in Jesus. Jesus Himself has modeled this rebirth for us. In the Methodist and Wesleyan tradition, Baptism is a public confession of an inward reality. Through baptism we identify with the death and resurrection of Jesus and we proclaim that we belong to and identify with Him.

In our church, we practice both infant baptism and believer's baptism. We also do baby dedications. When we baptize, we do so through sprinkling or full immersion. If you would like to learn more, would like to join our baptism class (offered a few times a year), or would like to get baptized then click below to let us know.
